Description: A242 is a low-carbon Cr19Ni13Mo3 stainless steel electrode with titanium-calcium coating. It can be used for both AC and DC with excellent operating performance. The deposited metal has a higher molybdenum content than A202, and it has better corrosion resistance to non-oxidizing acids, such as sulfuric acid, sulfurous acid, phosphoric acid and organic acids. It also has a good effect against pitting corrosion. Application: Used for the welding of the same type of stainless steel materials as well as composite steel and dissimilar steel.
